It all started with blue and orange straws

I took a short break from blogging for a while, but my son's birthday party has my creative side coming out again. And it all started about a month ago with a trip to Target's dollar spot. I found paper straws that had orange and blue stripes. At the time, I had no idea what I would do with them. But I loved the colors together and bought them for $1 each.

Then my son asked for a birthday sleepover. And he loves sports. So I dug out those straws.

Crafting with Kids: Spring Peeps banner

I love a good kids craft. They are simple and colorful and give young minds and hands a chance to get creative. This Spring Peeps banner I made for my mantel this year is a perfect craft to do with your kids. You only need a few simple supplies and it makes a fun addition to your Spring decor.

Reusing glass jars from the kitchen

I was waiting to get my haircut yesterday when I saw a friend's Facebook post about spaghetti sauce jars. She had ten of them and asked if anyone crafty wanted them. Ummmm, sure, I thought. There's got to be something I can do with them. I scooped them up and stopped at the craft store. Walking aisle by aisle, I was waiting for something to catch my eye. And then I found flowers.
